Created by Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion Village was designed to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it. Beginning in 1925, his grand vision took 50 years to complete as a tightly grouped coastal village with many attractions for visitors. Described as the Italian Riviera meets rural Wales, visitors can enjoy the riot of colour and architectural styles of the buildings around a central piazza, scenic surroundings, two hotels, historic cottages, gift shops, a spa and award winning restaurants. So, as well exploring all Portmeirion has to offer, the evening Festival package offered includes entrance to one of 4 special evening events featuring live music (the winners can choose which festival they wish to attend).
Since its launch in 2020, SIXTOWNS Spirits has gone from strength to strength, securing its first award for the London Dry Gin in 2022. All SIXTOWNS products are unique – produced in one of a kind, brick effect, ceramic kiln shaped bottles reminiscent of the pot banks of Stoke on Trent. The spirits are distilled using techniques passed down through three generations of the founders’ families and the inspiration driving the business is in being able to encapsulate, in an original way, the fine craftsmanship and 300-year-old heritage found in its locality.
Divine Chocolate produce delicious, award-winning chocolate based on an innovative business model that champions farmers (it is the only Fairtrade chocolate company co-owned by farmers). Divine’s products use all natural ingredients and flavours, are bean to bar, and the majority of its chocolates are 70% cocoa or above. Fully eco-friendly, all packaging is fully-recyclable and orders are processed from its carbon negative warehouse using eco-friendly packaging materials. In summary, each Divine bar is a collaboration of hands, history and heart – crafted by a skilled community who pour passion and pride into every piece.
