Brought to you by two award winning companies, Halfpenny Wine Estate and Firetree Chocolate, the winner of this prize will have the ultimate early Autumn experience to share with another – a comprehensive wine tour for 2 persons, a bottle of English Rose Sparkling Wine and a hamper of premium chocolates. It was the vision of farmer Martin Vickers, 30 years ago, to plant a vineyard that would one day match continental sites. Today 30 acres of vines produce award-winning wines, crafted by Martin’s son, Clive. The vines, comprised of sixteen different varieties, each produce a different grape. Familiar varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir feature prominently, and are used in producing the Estate’s award-winning sparkling wines, an example of which, the English Rose Sparkling Wine, is included in this prize as well as the Vineyard Tour which includes lunch and a wine tasting. A family business, the acclaimed shop, restaurant and tea rooms are run by Clive’s wife Lisa, and, together with the comprehensive guided tours, an unrivalled day out is offered to visitors. There is also a wild zoo, shop and craft village on the estate.

Firetree Chocolate are creators of some of the most exceptional chocolate you will ever experience. They produce craft chocolate with cocoa beans sourced from remote single-estate volcanic islands in the South Pacific Sea and Oceania. The volcanic terroir produces cocoa beans with natural taste notes that change, develop, and linger on the palate. Much like the grapes in winemaking, the cocoa beans from each single-estate Firetree partner have their own unique flavour and distinct taste notes – think cherry, plum, caramel and white grape. Firetree have achieved 25 Great Taste Awards amongst their many international accolades. The entire collection is directly-traded, bean-to-bar and made in the UK.

One winner will be picked by Firetree Chocolate Ltd and Halfpenny Green Wine Estate from all the entries. The winner will win the prize collection depicted and listed above. Firetree Chocolate and Halfpenny Green Estate reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond their control make this unavoidable. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash equivalent. Firetree Chocolate Ltd and Halfpenny Green Wine Estate reserve the right to choose another winner if the winner initially chosen does not have a UK address. Only one entry per person. If no confirmatory response can be obtained from the winner within the time frame above an alternative winner will be chosen. Once this has been done, the original winner will have forfeited the prize.
