All you have to do to win a half-year subscription to award-winning bookshop, The Book Hive, plus Firetree’s Anthology Library selection through which to explore a world of cocoa origins, is complete  the form below by noon on Wednesday 8th April 2026.

The Book Hive is a place that celebrates the beauty of printed material – as well as the pleasures of whimsical, alternative curation.  It has a rich publishing history, being the original home of Galley Beggar Press, established by owner Henry Layte and two customers.  Following publishing successes – including discovering Eimear McBride’s game-changer ‘A Girl is a Half-formed Thing’ – Henry split to set up Propolis, the shop’s own award-winning imprint which counts Poet Laureate Simon Armitage among its authors.  The shop hosts regular events, a Book Club Hub, the Page Against The Machine reading sessions which have been replicated around the world, and runs its own literary Festival The Mannington Book Bash. It has a sister shop in the north Norfolk market town of Aylsham. The Book Hive has won a number of awards, including The Daily Telegraph’s Best Small Bookshop in Britain, and in March 2026 won Best Bookshop in the East of England at the British Book Awards.
