Created by Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion Village was designed to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it. Beginning in 1925, his grand vision took 50 years to complete. Nestled between the Eryri mountain ranges and the Dwyryd estuary, and described as the Italian Riviera meets rural Wales, visitors can enjoy the riot of colour and architectural styles of the buildings around a central piazza, scenic surroundings, two hotels, historic cottages, gift shops, Cafes, and award-winning restaurants.
Mallows Beverages is a father and son family business based in Coed-Ely. The business is powered by the family’s wealth of expertise and knowledge of the drinks sector. Mallows Beverages produce a large range of spirits; it is now the biggest drinks producer in Wales and has been accorded the award UK Manufacturer of the Year, 2025 (Insider Made in the UK Awards). For this competition the company is providing all of its best selling Gin range which is sure to be enjoyed.
